The Bell Centre, originally known as the Molson Centre, first opened its doors in 1996, and it wasn't until 2002 that the venue took on the title by which we know it today. With the ability to house about 22,500 spectators at a time, Montreal’s Bell Centre is North America’s largest multipurpose arena facility. No great arena is ever complete without a sports team to call its own. The Bell Centre is currently home to the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens.
